On February 17, 2024, a chess competition organized by Makkal Sakthi Iyakkam was held at the Government Higher Secondary School in Perumbakkam, Ezhil Nagar. The competition aimed to identify and encourage interested participants, with over 50 students taking part. The event was presided over by the school’s principal, Mrs. C. Elilarasi, the state coordinator of the organization, Dr. G. G. Shiva, and Assistant Inspector of the Perumbakkam Police Station, Mrs. Sujatha. Prizes were awarded to the winning students, and certificates were distributed to all participants.
