On July 11, 2022, the All People Shakti Movement raised awareness about the issues faced by around 200 families living in Velanjeri Village, Kadambathur Panchayat. These families have been residing in their homes for over 100 years. Recently, a notice was issued requiring them to vacate their homes within 15 days, causing significant distress and anxiety among the residents.

In response to this situation, representatives from the All People Shakti Movement met with the Thiruvallur District Collector to present the concerns of the villagers. They submitted a petition requesting that alternative housing be allocated within the surrounding areas for the affected families. Over 200 residents from Velanjeri Village participated in this advocacy effort, highlighting their plight and seeking a fair resolution.
