On April 11, 2023, in observance of National Safe Motherhood Day, the Chengalpattu District Collector, on behalf of the Makkal Sakthi Iyakkam (People’s Power Movement), distributed fruits and nutrient-rich foods to pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers. Following this, Mr. S. Ruben, M.A.B.L., lawyer at the Chennai High Court and Chief Legal Advisor of the Makkal Sakthi Iyakkam, released a National Safe Motherhood Day awareness leaflet. Subsequently, on behalf of the movement, additional fruits and nutrient-rich foods were distributed to the pregnant and breastfeeding mothers
